Game Summary:

Despite having only eight players, the Huntsville boys basketball squad took care of business Tuesday night at Lufkin and made head coach Larry Carlson’s debut a successful one. Junior Marvin Dunbar followed up his own miss with a layup in the closing seconds to left the Hornets (1-0) to an 89-87 victory over the Panthers. Senior Justin Ennis scored a game-high 36 points for Huntsville and sophomore Jeremy LaDay chipped in 22. The Hornets trailed for most of the game and were down 22-7 at one point in the first quarter. Huntsville started to pick things up in the second quarter and cut Lufkin’s lead to 50-44 at the break to pull within striking distance
